When I first moved to San Francisco, Malisa (my friend) and I were disappointed that so many artists were leaving or had already left the bay area. We founded an art collective that annually showcased 50 emerging artists that created a series of 10 postcard-sized artworks each.

So 10 pieces of artwork might sound like a lot, but making so many of something actually takes the pressure of making 1 super cool thing. Having so many artists was like trying to herd 50 cats into 1 room, but we were so proud when almost every single artist who joined sold a piece in the first show.
